LEARNING, MATERIALS & CONDUCT
Using MET services responsibly
10. Examinations, Assessments, and Learning Results
MET may provide general examination preparation, assessment practice, review, strategy instruction, and progress feedback. References to examination names are descriptive only unless an official relationship is expressly stated.
No particular score, pass result, school admission, language level, or certification is guaranteed.
11. Learning Materials and Intellectual Property
Worksheets, lesson plans, slides, exercises, videos, recordings, digital resources, methods, graphics, website content, and other materials created or supplied by MET or its licensors are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
Learners may use supplied materials for their own learning but may not reproduce, sell, publicly post, share with unauthorized persons, or use them for commercial teaching without permission.
12. Recording, Photos, and Lesson Content
Learners and guardians must not secretly record, photograph, livestream, capture, or distribute an online lesson, instructor, other learner, screen, or communication.
If MET proposes to record a lesson for training, quality, safety, or learning purposes, MET will explain the purpose and obtain any required consent. Public promotional use of an identifiable learner requires separate consent where applicable.
13. Student Conduct and Safety
Learners and customers must treat instructors, staff, and other learners respectfully. Harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse, deliberate disruption, fraud, impersonation, unauthorized recording, unlawful content, or unsafe conduct is prohibited.
MET may give guidance, contact a guardian, restrict participation, adjust an arrangement, suspend access, or terminate a service when reasonably necessary and lawful.
14. Online Accounts, Platforms, and Security
The customer is responsible for a suitable device, stable internet connection, compatible software, camera and microphone where required, and a reasonably quiet and safe learning environment.
Meeting links, passwords, accounts, and access credentials must be kept secure. MET is not responsible for an interruption caused solely by the learner’s device, connection, settings, or environment. A material MET-side failure will be addressed with a reasonable remedy.
15. Suspension and Termination by MET
MET may suspend or terminate an online service where reasonably necessary and lawful, including for material non-payment, repeated serious breach, harassment, threats, fraud, unauthorized sharing of accounts or materials, dangerous or unlawful conduct, or substantial disruption.
Where appropriate, MET will give reasonable notice. Immediate action may be taken when necessary to prevent harm, protect systems, comply with law, or stop serious misuse.
