OUR TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

English is not only something to study. It is something to use, share, and grow through.

We place the learner at the center of every lesson. Students are supported to ask questions, make mistakes safely, think independently, express ideas, listen to others, and gradually become confident communicators.
Progress is not measured only by scores or memorized words. It can also be seen when a quiet learner begins to speak, when a child looks forward to the next lesson, or when an adult communicates an idea that once felt difficult.
01

Respect the individual

Lessons respond to age, level, pace, personality, interests, and goals.
02

Learn through meaningful use

English is practiced through real communication, not isolated memorization alone.
03

Build confidence safely

Learners are encouraged to try, revise, ask questions, and speak without fear of mistakes.
04

Grow beyond language

Lessons also nurture curiosity, creativity, independence, cultural understanding, and connection.
A DISTINCTIVE MET CURRICULUM

English Through Theater Arts: Language in Action

Learners do more than repeat English. They use language to tell stories, become characters, solve communication tasks, present ideas, and respond to an audience. This develops pronunciation, fluency, expression, imagination, cooperation, and the courage to speak.
Storytelling
Organize ideas, expand vocabulary, and communicate meaning.
Role-play
Practice useful English for real situations and natural responses.
Reader’s Theater
Improve reading fluency, rhythm, intonation, and comprehension.
Voice and Expression
Develop pronunciation, clarity, emotion, and audience awareness.
Speech and Presentation
Structure ideas and speak with purpose and confidence.
Creative Collaboration
Listen, respond, solve problems, and create with others.
THE MET LEARNING PATH

From understanding English to using it with purpose.

Our lessons connect strong foundations with communication and creative expression. The path is adjusted to each learner, but the direction remains clear.

Hear

Notice sounds, rhythm, meaning, questions, and natural responses.

Build

Develop phonics, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and sentence control.

Express

Use voice, stories, role-play, discussion, speech, and presentation to communicate ideas.

Connect

Listen to others, respond appropriately, collaborate, and use English in real situations.
This is the MET difference: accuracy and creativity are developed together, so learners do not only know English—they learn how to use it.
STRONG FOUNDATIONS, PRACTICAL COMMUNICATION

A balanced learning system that connects accuracy with confident use.

Structured teaching and creative communication work together so learners understand how English works and learn to use it naturally.
FOUNDATION

Sounds, Letters and Literacy

Progressive phonics, spelling patterns, handwriting, reading fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and sentence formation are taught step by step.
COMMUNICATION

Listening, Speaking and Interaction

Guided conversation, questions, stories, discussions, projects, and real-life scenarios help learners use English meaningfully.
PROGRESS

Clear “Can Do” Goals

Age- and level-appropriate objectives help teachers plan, monitor development, and explain progress clearly to learners and families.
LEARNING PATHS FOR EVERY STAGE

Personalized support from first words to advanced goals.

Every program is adapted to the learner. Lesson length, activities, pace, language focus, and learning goals change according to age and purpose.

Young Children and Parents

Songs, stories, movement, sounds, early words, simple interaction, and optional parent participation.

Elementary Learners

Phonics, reading, vocabulary, sentence building, conversation, projects, role-play, and confidence.

Junior and Senior High

Academic English, grammar, reading, writing, discussion, presentation, school support, and goal preparation.

Adults and Professionals

Everyday conversation, travel, workplace communication, meetings, email, presentation, and career goals.
GOAL-FOCUSED ENGLISH SUPPORT

Support that strengthens real ability—not only short-term performance.

For learners working toward school, qualification, interview, study, or career goals, lessons are built around the language skills required for the learner’s target while continuing to develop practical communication.

Diagnostic review

Identify strengths, gaps, target level, and priority skills.

Targeted language development

Vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, writing, and speaking as appropriate.

Purposeful practice

Practice suitable question types, timing, instructions, interviews, writing tasks, or presentations according to the learner’s goal.

Feedback and progress checks

Review errors, explain next steps, and adjust the learning plan.

MET began online on August 22 as a personal English tutoring service under a sole proprietorship.
2021
The online language tutorial service was formally registered in Fuji City on September 7.

2025
株式会社 Fledge Japan (Kabushiki Kaisha Fledge Japan) was established on December 15 to support MET’s continued development.
2026–Today
MET continues online and face-to-face English education with local and international educators. A separate childcare division, MET-EIS Hoikuen, opened on April 1, 2026.
A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

A lesson should be a place where learners feel heard, supported, and capable of growth.

“Distance should not limit a learner’s opportunity. Online lessons can provide consistent guidance, personal attention, and a safe space to speak, make mistakes, ask questions, and discover what is possible.”
MET began with the belief that English learning should be personal, practical, encouraging, and connected to each learner’s life. That belief continues to guide every program we build.
