Introduce English as a Part of Family Life

MET Preschool Course aims to introduce English to children at an early stage for them to enjoy it with the whole family, view it as a part of everyday life thus developing their liking towards further learning the language.

Play and Learn

Japan Ministry of Education defines the characteristics of infants as follows.

“Infants proactively express themselves while playing, fostering curiosity about the outside world and form the basis for exploration and knowledge accumulation.”

This implies that the most effective education with infants is through play where all of the senses are active.

Active and Fun Online Play Made Possible

In MET Preschool class, lessons consist of games, nursery rhymes, and other tools that stimulate all senses. Compared to watching television or other programs, the children can actively speak, sing, dance, and play games with the teacher.

Fun and consistency are very important in learning. However, in early childhood where concentration is still in the developmental stage, children are likely to lose interest easily. This is where the role of the family comes into play.

The participation of the family is a very important factor in education. The family plays the role of direct leaders as well as supporters of the implementation of the education of their child and it has been long proven how families affect children’s academic achievement in important ways as they are the primary and most significant environment that the children are exposed to.

Promoting Family Participation

In MET Preschool Course, each adult member of the family is allowed to play with the student through English. It is only in MET that family members can take turns participating in the English lesson with the child. MET believes that this approach has the following advantages:

The main goal of the MET KIDS and TEENS course is to gradually develop English proficiency for the students, preparing them to be active and successful players in the global community. To achieve this, MET holds online international exchange events throughout the year.

MET CALENDAR

All students of MET Kids and Teens are free to join the events set on the MET Calendar. The MET Calendar consists of online events that enable students to practice English conversation with English speakers from different countries. For instance, on the Valentine’s Day event, students are set to talk about the difference in celebration of Valentine’s Day and also participate in games with the guests. These events not only develop the skills but also enable cultural exchange between participants.

Improve Your Skills through MET CONTEST

Students of MET are also free to join annual contests that develop different English skills of students. Contests include Speech Contests, Spelling, Reading, Debate, etc. Participating in these contests motivates the students to learn more and gives a sense of achievement from their hardwork.
